David Jones, a 44 year-old carpenter from Sussex, is set for a world record by spending four months in a room with poisonous snakes.
He will include snakes like cobras, green and black mambas, deadly puff adders and boomslands among his 'roommates'.

He will take a shot at the risky daredevilry in Johannesburg, from April 24th . The duration will be of 121 days that he will be able to break the records, as of now. The current world record belongs to Martin Smith of South Africa, who had spent 113 days with the poisonous snakes in the room. But Jones differs from Martin, also known as Mad Martin, as he is a trained snake handler, whereas Jones is an amateur.

"I wanted to challenge myself, and I also wanted to raise some money for charity," says Jones, about the reasons for him to take this adventure.
