Indian In line Hockey Player set World Record 2010

Players of Shivganga Roller Skating Academy here have set a new record in in-line hockey by playing for 30 hours on Wednesday night. They broke the previous record of 25 hours and 20 minutes, which is in the name of Inline Hockey team of England.

Two teams of 16 skaters each, Blue and Yellow, played between 2.25 pm on Tuesday and 3.39 pm on Wednesday.

Sports Authority of India director M S Tyagi, women's cricket coach of Delhi Sunita Sharma and others witnessed the event.

Academy president Jyoti Chindak said the entire event has been videographed and the copies of which will be sent to the `Limca Book of Records', World Records Academy and the `Guinness Book of Records'.

Following players were adjudged the best: Saurab Duggal -- Best Scorer, Amit Ahuje and Mohit Yadav, Best Defenders, Jitendar Singh and Gurjap Singh _- Best Goal Keepers, and Aniket Chindak - Best Youngest Player.

Wayne Chow and Andrew Spongle from the Federation International Roller Sports (Hong Kong) were the referees.
