According to reports American actress Helen Wagner has died at the age of 91 on Saturday. She was best known for playing Nancy Hughes on As the World Turns. The TeleNext Media Inc. announced the news of her death. She holds the record for playing the same role for the longest time and her name is included in the Guinness World Record.
In 2004 the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences awarded her Lifetime Achievement Award. Her death is a great loss for her family and friends. Her fans loved her so much.

American actress Helen Wagner was born on September 3, 1918 in Lubbock, Texas. In early 1950 she also played the role of Trudy Bauer which gained fame for her. In 1956 when the show was debuted Helen Wagner spoke the first line as, “Good morning, dear.”
The news of President John F. Kennedy shot had also been broadcasted during a scene of her show through special bulletin. She continued her show with some breaks. In 1980 she left her show because of the ideas clashes between her and then-producer Mary-Ellis Bunim. But in 1985 she joined the show again and in 1986 she participated in the show’s 30th anniversary. After the death of her first husband she married Dan McClosky. From 2005 to 2007 she appeared in the show three times in a month. In 2008, Wagner appeared in the show just twice in a whole year.
