A new Guinness World Record was set in Southwick for the most soft toys in one room.
The event was organised by the west Wiltshire branch of the National Autistic Society as part of its family fun day at Southwick Village Hall on Wednesday, July 29.
A total of 2,932 soft toys covered the stage of the village hall, which beat the old record by a massive 594 toys.
Mayor of Trowbridge Cllr Jeff Osborn picked the 10 best soft toys, whose sponsors won various prizes including a family pass to Legoland, cinema tickets, admission to Butterfly World and a trip on the Avon Valley Railway.
There was also an appearance of Trowbridge Ted.
Branch officer Sue Saunderson described the day as a ‘great success’ which started with a arts session followed by a barbecue and a disco.
