On Saturday August 15th 2009 a new Guinness world record was achieved in Platin, Duleek, Co. Meath, Ireland. A record number of 175 combine harvesters worked simultaneously in one field. Though conditions were damp early morning the sun and a light breeze graced the field after lunch and by 5 pm the 175 combines began to roar. The massive cavalcade began to edge through the wheat which was a sight to behold. The crop was harvested in 15 minutes.
