Biggest Newspaper Bag in Chennai Limca Book of Records

Say ‘no’ to plastic bags, ‘yes’ to newspaper bags. This is what Exnora reiterated in a novel way as a part of their campaign against the use of plastic carrybags.

Exnora activists made a huge newspaper bag and displayed it for the public at T Nagar, Chennai, last evening, significantly making it into the Limca Book of Records.
.
Speaking on the occasion, Exnora International founder M B Nirmal said the paper bag, 360 cm long and 300 cm wide, was made to highlight and emphasis the need to protect the environment through eco-friendly measures.

He also said that it was the responsibility of every citizen to work against global warming which was the most serious threat facing the planet.

‘The paper bag is made by Exnora members in 20 minutes to get into the Limca Book of Records’, he said.

Nirmal also appealed to the people to say ‘no’ to plastic carry bags and propagate the ill-effects involved in the usage of plastic bags and in support of harmless substitutes like newspaper bags.
