AN ice chain of skating Santas set a Guinness World Record at Warwick Castle on Sunday.To celebrate the opening of the UK’s first real ice trail, 142 skating Santas formed the world’s longest chain of people on ice. They broke the record on their third attempt—an earlier one failed when an excited young Santa waved to the watching crowd and another when a skinny Santa’s trousers fell down.The Santas were members of the public who donned the red suits to add some Christmas sparkle to the event in the castle’s Peacock Garden.
